Always here for werewolf lore! I think one of my favourite films that represents werewolves as a minority (and tight knit community) is the Underworld series. It does go back and forth in how dangerous and "wild" they are, but when it comes to their freedom and looking after each other (especially in Rise of the Lycans) I did view them as admirable being even when they did bad things. There was a purpose for their violence. It was a sense of justice and overthrowing their oppressors the Vampires...
I need to go back and rewatch Underworld. I am working this article into a chapter of my diss and am in the process of gathering more examples and making a to be watched list!
